Monmouth, Monmouthshire

Heritage Grade II Listing

A considerable project, this impressive three storey Grade II listed family home in Monmouth, was in need of preservation works to all of the nine windows (eighteen sashes) on the front of the property.

Due to the Grade II heritage listed status of the property there were significant considerations, recommendations and restrictions that had to be taken into account when making any alterations (including repairs) to historic architectural joinery. Fortunately our practice operates in full compliance of such needs, as all the materials and methods we employ are of the standard and quality that such buildings and regulations require and the work was executed accordingly.

Challenges included; exceedingly fine glazing bars, lots of stairs and sizeable gaps between the stonework and timber frames.
