Lazron Matia

I’m a sole trader specialising in preservation, conservation and joinery in historic buildings. I use modern equipment and resources to support my knowledge and experience in traditional craftsmanship. I restore, repair and reconstruct classical carpentry and joinery. I also design and construct furniture to fit into an environment of architectural heritage.

I offer a consultation service and liaise with conservation officers and other organisations/owners of historic buildings, including:

- planning advice and consultancy
- woodwork preservation
- joinery (doors, windows and frames)
- carpentry made to original drawings/specifications:

I’m an experienced individual with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Skilled in AutoCAD, Building Conservation, Joinery, Quantity Surveying, and Construction. Strong program and project management professional with a Master of Arts (MA) in Historic Preservation and Conservation, from Birmingham City University.

Kate Walford

I’m a sole trader specialising in Craft and Design.

I work with LM Conservation on a project by project basis as a carpenter, joiner and draughtswoman.

I assist Lazron, both on-site and in the Tudor Lane Workshop. I produce rough working sketches, generally made on site, for reference during repair work, as well as technical drawings and original designs for replication and restoration work.

I studied carpentry and joinery at Cardiff and Vale College and I have a postgraduate degree in Art and Design from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
