Tudor Lane Workshops:

Cardiff Council Regeneration Project

In 2020 “the commercial business area of Tudor Street was identified in the South Riverside Business Action Plan as a key regeneration priority for Cardiff Council.”. The proposals included ‘environmental and transport improvements’, ‘uplifted street environment’ and to ‘enhance the look of businesses through providing new shop fronts, signs, shutters and improvements to first and second floors of buildings’. Funding was secured from the Welsh Government, Cardiff Council and local business owners who signed up to take part in the scheme.

LM Conservation was awarded a contract to design and craft new workshop doors and business frontage for three units on Tudor Lane. A unique opportunity that included the LM Conservation Workshop.

The workshop fronts were made with the history of the street in mind and to suit the crafts-people using them.
